TGLclinical performs molecular genetic testing under medical laboratory quality management standards according to ISO 15189:2012 standards. Every result is reviewed and countersigned by a Clinical Geneticist.
A wealth of experience and expertise places TGLclinical in a unique position to provide molecular genetic testing of high technical quality together with experienced and widely respected clinical interpretation of test results.
The Translational Genomics Laboratory (TGL) is one of the cornerstones of the Clinical Academic Unit which consists of the Division of Genetics & Epidemiology at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) and the Clinical Cancer Genetics Unit at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust (RM). The clinicians and scientific researchers within the Unit are leaders in the field of cancer predisposition gene discovery and in the optimisation of genetic testing methodologies for clinical testing. The Unit has been highly effective in the translation of genetic discoveries to benefit patients and their families.
TGLclinical draws on the knowledge and expertise within the Unit to make high quality molecular genetic testing, validated to medical laboratory quality standards, available to other researchers and clinical services.
